Award or no award, you are really one of the most outstanding products of Quezon High - - in your advocacies,  accomplishments and humility.

When we were in high school back in the early 1970's as Coconut staffers, we were introduced to your writings by Miss Marie Unson, Ms. Mil Sevilla (now Reyes) and Dr. Al Palomar - (among others).  You write with magic then  . . as now. And yet this gift of yours is not confined to writing  . . . as you are presently directly helping so many needy Filipinos with your advocacies and actual works in the field.

We idolized your writings then, we are even wowed by your works today.

Atty. John Titus Vistal
Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator
Province of Bohol

Written on the book as birthday gift
on 14 April 2013:

Like many great men in the world of development, you have converted those around you and working with you to your world view, and your mission.

I count myself lucky to have been witness to your passion, optimism (despite setbacks and frustrations), and unwavering work ethic.

Here's a little nudge, too, to get you closer to publishing your own memoirs - I am sure there are many, many stories you have yet to tell.

Note: John Vistal gifted us with "The Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama.
